Happy (Babylonian) New Year!

Today is the first day of Nisan, New Year’s Day on both the Babylonian and old Hebrew calendar.  I’ve said before that because you see rapid changes in the spring and fall, it makes more sense to begin a year then, as opposed to starting in the middle of winter, like we do.  This also means that Passover is less than two weeks away.
