Still No Light at the End of the Tunnel

On Wednesday I had a phone interview for a one-year assignment at Fort Knox.  Sure, it means I would be gone for most of the time, but I could still come home on weekends, and at least the job is in the same state as my house.  Which is more than you could say for the most recent job I had.

After me, two more candidates were interviewed, and I learned today that the last one got the job, because he lives in the Fort Knox neighborhood.  Oh well, now where do I go from here?
