Osceola and His Costume are Hanging In There

It takes a while for this kind of news to travel from Tampa to my brother’s corner of the Everglades; although it was reported a month ago, he just heard about it today.  Osceola and his horse Renegade have been voted the top college mascots in the United States!  Longtime readers of this blog will remember that in 2009 my brother Chris made the jacket currently worn by the Florida State mascot (see my messages from August 9, 2009 and September 20, 2010).  Well, it’s holding out well, into its third year of use.  Now we see that the wearer is doing even better!
