We briefly had company over at our house last Saturday, and then on Monday I attended a special meeting for Pre-Paid Legal Services. Here are the pictures from those get-togethers.
At Saturday’s church service Gene & Rezia had two guests visiting. They came from Chicago, and originally were from Misamis Occidental, the same province of the Philippines as Rezia and Leive. Thus, at the end of the service we had four Cebuano-speakers conversing in the building. The wife also sang in front, next to Rezia. We didn’t get their names, because they prefer to only go by their initials; she is “K” and he is “M.” I guess their full names are too long for English-speakers to pronounce.
Afterwards they came to our house, but could only stay a few minutes because they were leaving early the next morning, to go to Chicago. I took these pictures while they were in our basement. If you haven’t seen the basement before, go to these pictures I took in December 2007, for the tour. Here are M, K and Leive on the largest couch.

Now it’s Rezia’s turn to get a picture, while Gene watches from the other couch and Leive goes to turn on the lights near the piano.

Since Rezia’s good on the piano we did a few songs. Here K takes a picture of the gang, while I take a picture of her.

And from another angle, K, Gene and Rezia.

These days I usually go to a Pre-Paid Legal meeting every Monday evening. It’s my responsibility, because there are now thirty-four associates under me, and there’s a good chance that some of them will show up. This week we held it in a different location, because we expected a larger crowd; I estimate between sixty and seventy came. Our guest was Dave Savula, the biggest money-maker in all of Pre-Paid Legal; last year he earned $2.1 million. Anyway, he drove up from the suburbs of Atlanta, and several of those present came from out of town to see him. Like Silver Executive Director Kennetha Kelly, who lives in Louisville; you may remember her in the pictures I took at the conventions I attended last March and September. Here she is (on the right) with our good friend Heather Cherry. Another good friend, Krystal McKinney, is visible on the left.

The first half of the meeting was a typical business presentation, open to anyone. What made it different was that Dave knew it well enough to do without the projector, except for the part when he needed to show the numbers, so you can see how much you will earn doing this. Then after a quick break, came the second half, which was only for those who were already associates; that’s why the meeting room looks more than half-empty. For this part Dave gave some tips on how he became so successful, something we all can use. In this picture he demonstrates how to use people skills when you meet someone for the first time.

And finally, here are Dave and I. My friend Jim Levinson took this one; his talent as a photographer shows.

Pardon my red eyes, I am not a Cylon! (see below, LOL)
I had today off because of Veteran’s Day, so now it’s off to bed and back to work tomorrow. See you later!
