The Ultimate Peep Show!

They’re Marshmallow Peeps, of course, because this is a family website.
Today is Palm Sunday, so this marks the start of Holy Week. It’s unusually early this year, and the Jewish calendar is running late, thanks to the leap month. This year Palm Sunday and Easter fall before Purim, Passover, and even before Akitu (the ancient Babylonian New Year’s Day). I’m a little disoriented for that reason, and still getting used to the fact that now I’m actually in a church that observes Christian holidays. The one I attended in Florida didn’t, because it was too busy giving equal time for Jewish holidays. If I was still down there, I’d probably be watching the kids put on a Purim play today, and we would be getting ready for our annual Passover seder. Along that line, I’ll finish by reposting the “scientifically accurate” Palm Sunday picture I showed from the Uncyclopedia, featuring Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a velociraptor (see the January 27, 2008 entries).
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
