This entry in my blog is mainly for Lindy. Lindy, you’ve seen the other videos in this series of Star Wars parodies: “Pink Five,” “Pink Five Strikes Back,” and “Return of Pink Five, Part 1.” This month marks 30 years since the first Star Wars movie (now called “Episode IV, A New Hope”) arrived in the theaters, and yesterday the next adventure of the valley girl in space was put online, just in time for that anniversary. In this one we see Stacey go to Endor and join the Ewoks in their battle against the Empire.
Unfortunately I haven’t yet found a way to download this video, the way I did with the others. It’s a Flash animation, instead of a .wmv or .mov file, so it’s harder to capture, being intended for streaming viewing only. Apparently the producers made it that way to make sure it only gets shown in one place, AtomFilms.com. If I was still using the computer I bought from Cheap Guys in Longwood, FL, I’d know where to go on my hard drive to find animations after viewing them, and make them permanent, but the computer I’m on now hides those files and the folder containing them. And none of the three or four programs I have for capturing streaming audio/video is working to catch this one. I guess I’ll let you know when I find a solution, or a bootleg version appears in a place like YouTube.com. In the meantime, click on the picture above or the AtomFilms link to watch the video; it lives up to the standards set by the others! And may the Force be with you.
And for a bizarro twist to the whole Star Wars idea, here’s an oldie but goodie: an editorial from 2002 that tells us we’re rooting for the wrong side in those movies.

Thanks!
